Kymber Chandra was a Human/Morellian half-breed. She was the youngest child and only daughter born to Yanas Dosson and Mayli Chandra. Her parents divorced when she was only 3 years old. Because Yanas was largely absent from their lives, Kymber and her brother, Rance, chose to use their mother's surname instead of their father's.
Kymber had an out-going personality and was always intrigued by the history of the different species that passed through the starports of her homeworld of Lianna. After finishing with primary school, Kymber continued her education going to the Lianna University with a double major in archaeology and sapientology.
