The Aaroun were a sentient species of carnivores. The powerful beings were covered in golden fur. The species was bred as slaves and gladiators by the Viis Empire, a significant polity in the Unknown Regions until it was decimated by the shape shifting, malevolent entity known as the Mnggal-Mnggal.
